Lymph drainage massage is a unique technique first developed in Europe as a physical therapy modality for the treatment of lymphedema disease. Experience has shown that it is not only for ill patients; lymph drainage massage is also a perfect technique for helping clients to maintain health and improve the beauty of the skin.
In this class students will learn how to apply lymphatic drainage massage techniques in a variety of situations, including spa and resort body treatments, facials, sports massage, deep tissue massage and more.
The instructors, Ramona Moody French and Mariellen Boss have been trained in the Dr. Vodder method as well as other methods of lymph drainage including a technique Ramona learned in Guang An Men Hospital in Beijing. They will teach a full-body treatment sequence as well as a face and neck procedure that may be combined with other treatments or offered as a stand-alone service.
This class is open to massage therapists, estheticians, nurses and other health care providers.
